Secretary of Dept. of Community and Economic Development Visits AUMA-USA

Secretary of the Department of Community and Economic Development, Dennis Davin, visited Washington County to address economic development, the importance of manufacturing and to promote local tourism. Secretary Davin, the Washington County Commissioners, the Washington County Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Agency along with 50 of their elite members gathered at AUMA-USA on Friday, April 21, 2017 for an open discussion regarding these topics as well as to learn about manufacturing and tour AUMA-USA.

Take Our Daughters And Sons To Work Day

AUMA-USA hosted 16 children, ages 6 through 17 years old, for Take our Daughters and Sons to Work Day, on Thursday, April 27, 2017. This year’s theme was “Count on Me!”  Take our Daughters and Sons to Work Day teaches young girls and boys the responsibilities their parent or mentor take on during the workday.

Take our Daughters and Sons to Work Day emphasizes the importance of education and the opportunity to learn about trade occupations available for students who do not wish to obtain a four-year-post-secondary schooling degree. Click to see more...

2017 Valve World Expo EVENT NEWS:
Valve World Expo and Conference 2017

The 2017 Valve World Expo and Conference was held on June 20th and 21st at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas. There were approximately 4,000 attendees including 450 conference delegates. AUMA Actuators, Inc. was one of 300 exhibitors. The two-day event draws professionals from all over the world including international delegates from Valve Companies, Procurement Managers, Piping and Material Specialists as well as representatives from Fluor, Dow Chemical Company, Jacobs Engineering Shell and many others. AUMA OEM customer exhibitors included, Adams Valve, Bray International, Cameron, Dezurik, Franklin, Microfinish, Samson Controls, Score Valves, SCV, Velan, Wolseley, Zwick and others.

APPLICATION FOCUS:
AUMA Modular Actuators Tackle A Tight Squeeze


AUMA supplied 72 electric actuators with Modbus RTU communications for a wastewater treatment plant upgrade in Pittsburgh, PA, USA.

The Allegheny County Sanitary Authority (ALCOSAN) had problems with manually operated valves controlling the flow of raw sewage into primary treatment tanks at its facility next to the Ohio River, in Pittsburgh’s North Side district. ALCOSAN provides wastewater treatment services to 83 municipalities including the City of Pittsburgh with a total capacity of 250 million gallons (950,000 m3) a day. Click here to read more...

EVENT NEWS:
International Liquid Terminals Association (ILTA) Conference Held In Houston

The 37th Annual ILTA International Operating Conference and Trade Show was held on June 12-14, 2017 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, TX. More than 4500 terminal industry professionals attended.

AUMA Actuators, Inc. (AUMA-USA) was one of the 350 exhibitors. This year’s trade show included a new Technology Center, which provided a highly visible, designated space where attendees could connect with the exhibitors and learn about products and technologies.

ILTA represents 84 companies that operate liquid terminal facilities in 50 states and 37 countries. Products handled by ILTA members include crude oil, petroleum products and a wide variety of chemicals, as well as ethanol, biodiesel, vegetable oils, molasses and fertilizers. ILTA’s membership also includes 375 companies that supply products and services to the terminal industry.
